Following your microdermabrasion treatment you may experience some redness on the treated areas accompanied by a warm glow. This will last for several hours but should have settled by the following morning.
Any redness following treatment will be reduced and aided by the use of Gel Masks applied immediately following treatment and for the next 7-10 nights for 15mins on each occasion.
Remember to moisturise regularly following the treatment as you may experience some dryness 3-4days later.
We advise the use of SPF of at least a factor 25 and avoiding the use of any creams that are in any way irritating.
Remember – cleanse, moisturise & protect
The brown spots are also known as “Pregnancy Mask” or chloasma. As your hormones change during pregnancy this can cause these darker patches to appear, this will fade after your pregnancy. The hormones coupled with exposure to the sun can make these spots appear worse and is best not to sunbathe. Ensure you cover up when in the sun an wear a good SPF.
