Children are at higher risk of sun damage It is vital to apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 plus.
Babies burn faster than children and toddlers so keep them out of the sun completely.
Give midday a miss ! The sun is at its strongest in the middle of the day, so keep in the shade between 12- 3pm.
The sun can burn through water Always wear a waterproof sunscreen when swimming and remember no sunscreen is stay safe in the sun with spf leaflettotally water resistant so you should always reapply when you come out of the water.
The sun has two damaging rays. The sun emits ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays both of which can increase the risk of skin cancer by damaging DNA. UVB penetrates the upper layer and can cause sun burn and skin cancer.
Excessive sun can raise your chance of getting a cataract. It is not just your skin that is at risk, eyes are vulnerable too. Research suggest that high levels of exposure can increase your chance of cataracts.

Make sure your sun glasses have UV protection.

The sun is one of the best sources of Vitamin D
Vitamin D is used to build and maintain strong bones, it is produced by the body in response to light. The bottom line is that by enjoying sun sensibly we can make enough vitamin D without increasing our risk to skin cancer.

How much SPF sun screen is enough?

It pays to be generous with your sunscreen. Apply cream 30 mins before you go out into the sun. Reapply every two hours and more often if dipping in and out of the pool or working up a sweat.

  9. When finished the skin should appear red, this indicates that the technique has been done right.
  10. Ensure you clean the Dermaroller and put away in its box for next time.
