Lipomelt Forté is an intensively firming anti-cellulite cream ideal for daily care of skin with lowered elasticity, firmness and unsightly orange-peel appearance. Its delicate creamy consistency ensures maximum absorption of active ingredients to accelerate fat burn (lipolysis) and prevent its accumulation in the skin cells.
Cellulite is primarily a problem with microcirculation that causes damage to the fat tissue under the skin that affects 80%-95% of women and 5% of men. The alternating weakening of fatty and fibrous connective tissue presents itself visually in the shape of lumps and dimples, commonly known as 'orange peel'.
Females have their subcutaneous fat structured in small chambers separated by vertical walls of tissue (left). The whole framework is irrigated by a complex vascular system of arterioles and capillaries responsible for circulation and drainage.
The failure of this microcirculation system results in leakage of liquid into the surrounding tissue. This liquid retention in the interstitial spaces also affects adipocytes which start manufacturing excess triglycerides and grow in size, becoming trapped in the connective network.
The cosmetic result of this is an uneven distribution of fat and damaged tissue which modifies the appearance of the skin, provoking the well known lumpy "orange peel" skin. Connective tissue, including collagen and elastin, becomes increasingly damaged, eventually scarring, causing stretch marks.
Lipomelt Forté acts in two different ways: on the fat (lipolytic effect) and on the circulation (venotonic effect). Tests in vivo on human volunteers prove a drastic reduction in the thickness of subcutaneous adipose tissue when treated. Lipomelt Forté contains the new innovative Serilesine® Hexapeptide, which encourages the epidermis and dermis to remain attached to the Dermal Epidermal Junction (DEJ).
Serilesine is a laminin peptide, specifically designed to protect the Dermal Epidermal Junction. The Dermal Epidermal Junction is often over-looked in skincare products; it lies between the epidermis and the extra cellular matrix and is composed of two layers: the basal lamina and the underlying reticular lamina.
As we age the bond between the epidermal layer and the derma epidermal junction begins to decrease as keratinocytes become detached. Whilst this is happening the laminin begins to detatch from the dermis, leading to the epidermis and the dermis becoming separated. The result of this action is that skin begins to appear saggy and lustreless, due to reduced circulation and nutrients reaching the extra cellular matrix.
Serilesine is able to stimulate the production of laminin as well as stimulating the creation of fibroblasts, which in turn leads to the synthesis of collagen and elastin. This not only leads to an improved skin texture and appearance, but also to a more elastic skin.
Lipomelt Forté intensively stimulates microcirculation of the lymph, resulting in faster smoothing out of skin irregularities and improvement of elasticity and firmness. Various xanthenes such as caffeine (extracted from green coffee and guarana), theophylline (extracted from tea leaves), and theobromine (extracted from cocoa) effectively block the adipose receptors responsible for lipid absorption. By preventing fat penetration into the adipose cells, xanthenes ensure its break down as a result of lipolysis.
Additionally, the formula comprises Coenzyme A and Carnitine, which ensure speedy transport of lipids into mitochondria, where they are burned.
Last but not least, Lipase in combination with Caffeine ensures highly effective lipolytic effects, resulting in the reduction of fat whilst the hardened adipose cells are dissolved.
